CenturyLink (formerly Qwest Communications) had (4) existing telecommunications buildings that were placed in a site prone to routine flooding. The buildings were live sites with active customers in each of them. Our company was hired to design a flood wall enclosure around the live site so customer interruption could be avoided and the buildings would be protected from future flooding.

This project included the design and engineering of a flood wall 1 foot taller than the established base flood elevation for the area. The flood wall was designed of cast site piles that went 15 feet into the ground and 10 feet above grade. The flood wall enclosure has gasketed raised door so the site could be water tight yet accessed by a boat in time of flooding.

The Company provided full Architectural, Engineering and Project Management services on behalf of CenturyLink for the project including complete assessment, design, engineering, construction documents, permitting, RFPs ,and administering the bid process for CenturyLink.
